Thought I'd come by and just ramble about what's currently going on in my life.

I've been losing things like crazy lately. D: I lost my seam ripper, the zipper I bought for the costume I'm currently working on, and I almost lost all my favorite rings in a public restroom yesterday. XD;; And I've lost something else very dear to me, but I don't want to mention what it was, because if I do, someone reading this might want to kill me. ^ ^; And if not, I will kill myself after reading it several times. XD;;

I've gotten over the loss of my old seam ripper, and bought a new, better one. So I'm glad that worked out. I also bought a new zipper for my costume. Speaking of costumes, I don't really ever talk much about my cosplay plans. XD So I'm going to talk a little bit about them now.

The costume I'm currently working on is Palutena from Super Smash Brothers Brawl/ Kid Icarus. Her dress is nearing completion. I just need to add the gold trim to the toga-looking part, put in the zipper, add the trim to the top of the dress, and hem the edges of the underskirt. Unfortunately, that's as far as I can get before either a) the game comes out, or b) My friends in Japan send me some better reference pics of the details on her dress, since the only pictures available of her are too small or too grainy. D: I'm hoping to get it done by Anime Oasis, and I figure if I work on it a little everyday, it'll for sure get done in time. ^ ^

The other costume I'm working on is Zero Suit Samus, also from Brawl/Metroid Prime II.  I've completed the patterns and all that, but I was really depressed to see that when I got to the fabric store, the color that closest resembled the color of the Zero Suit was too dark. D: BUT!! When I got home that night, I was going through my scrap fabric, and found two yards of this fabric that I bought seriously like 3 years ago, and it's PERFECT!! So I'm quite happy that I didn't settle and pay $20 for the darker color.

As for the fanart I was talking about a few posts ago, I've been working on it, and as soon as they're all colored, I'm going to post ALL OF IT, and it will make your heads explode with candy! XD So, yeah. Look forward to it. ^ ^

And that mostly sums up everything for the moment, except for my job, which sucks as much as ever, so no news there. XD Anyway,  I gotta go now, so bai! ;D

Hey, This isn't very important or anything, but I learned something really funny today!

So, I live in Salt Lake City, where the area code is 801. And in Japanese, the kazuateji (words written in numbers) for yaoi is 801! Get it?? 8 is yatsu in old japanese, so it's ya, 0 is sometimes pronounced like "o" in English, so that's o, and 1 in modern Japanese is ichi, so that's i! XD And I learned this from a Japanese person, so it's legit! I live in Yaoi city!! XDD Haha, take that, LDS church! XD

And all you Yaoi fangirls in Salt Lake, NOW YOU KNOW WHY! 8DDD

Hey! Long time no update. This has been a somewhat eventful past month or so. Here are the highlights:

Yes, I love it! I'm learning several songs out of it at once! I've pretty much mastered Zelda's Theme, and I'm even learning it on the harp. I spent like, an hour practicing it on harp at Summerhays Music Center (Yep, still too broke to buy a harp. ^ ^; ). There are so many pedal changes in that piece that I had to quit early because my legs were getting sore. XD;; I'm also learning the fairy fountain song. It's actually WAY easier to play on the harp, because the strings are closer together than keys on a piano. Besides, it was meant to be played on harp. ^ ^ Such a pretty piece...

And the ultimate highlight is... TADAH!

Isn't it beautiful??? T_T ♥ ♥ ♥ I love you, Triforce Nintendo DS! You can't even imagine what a happy Zelda geek I am at the moment. XDD It also came with Phantom Hourglass, which means I now have this game in both Japanese and English. XD Way good! Although, I do have a few qualms about the name changes... Like how they changed Lineback's name to Linebeck, and Fortune to Astrid. 'Kay guys, there's no harm in keeping the names the same, you know. But regardless, I'm still very pleased. ^.^

I've been thinking lately, about how when I was in junior high, I drew a lot of fanart of videogame characters and cartoon characters  I liked. I used to draw LttP Princess Zelda ALL THE TIME! I was thinking why don't I do that anymore? So, expect some fanart from me in the near future. ^ ^ And it's going to be colored! ;D I recently resurrected my watercolors, and am going to be doing a lot more painting. I'm way excited! Because I love watercolor! XD Anyway, It's time for bed. I've been up way too long today. So goodnight!

Best thing EVAR happened to me today!! XDDDD
My friend Masato met me at the school library and mentioned he had something cool to show me. He pulled an orange plastic bag out from his backpack. And out of the bag he pulls out a book and whistles the "Treasure Catch Fanfare" (the tone that plays when you find an item in the Legend of Zelda games). XD

The book he pulled out was the Legend of Zelda Piano Collection!!! ;o; Which includes the music from A Link to the Past all the way up to Wind Waker. T________________T He's giving it to me for Christmas. I about passed out. XD Plus, all the music is PRE-ANALYZED! T___T Thank you, Japan for saving me the trouble! ;D

The downside is he won't let me have it until after finals. >.< Because he knows I will do nothing but play the music rather than study for my final exams. XD Sucks because I can't stop thinking about it... ^ ^;;; All the more excitement for the semester to be over!

Pretty much since the beginning of this semester, I've been starving. ;__; So when I realized I had to work on Thanksgiving, I was pretty bummed. Starving even on Thanksgiving is just not right. >.< So, I was thankful today for the turkey that made all the deaf people go to bed early, and consequently made it so slow at work that I got off an hour early! ^.^ And I got to eat Thanksgiving dinner with all three of my siblings for the first time in like, 12 years.

First Thanksgiving that I felt thankful for something, actually. ^ ^;;;
